A toothbrush is useful for cleaning the open surfaces of a tooth including the biting surface. However, a toothbrush cannot reach the surfaces between the teeth. Complete dental hygiene requires that the entire tooth is cleaned. Recently, several new products have been introduced specifically designed for flossing between teeth. Some are of better quality than others. It was very interesting to hear about a new product, Ideal Floss.

We had the opportunity to evaluate this product and rate its performance.

• It is easy to guide. You have a similar sense of control as with a pen or pencil.
• The handle is sturdy. Its soft, ridged surface ensures a steady grip.
• The dental floss retains its tension, which is a definite plus. It is also relatively wide which maximizes contact with the tooth surface.
